This type of black tea is made from the leaves of the plant Camellia sinensis. As its name suggests, it is grown in Assam, a state in Northeastern India that is one of the largest tea-producing regions in the world. Sip this full-bodied, brisk-tasting tea on its own or with milk.

Our Organic Assam Black Tea is grown in the Tinsukia district, which is located in Northeast India, known as the state of Assam. This small leaf (B.O.P.) Organic Black Tea has a delicious malty taste, and Assam has proven its superiority by consistently delivering a medium-bodied flavor. It makes the perfect breakfast tea, and the Broken cut makes it perfect for use in tea bags. Milk and sugar complement this tea well.

Broken Orange Pekoe (B.O.P.) is the next grade below Orange Pekoe, which designates a smaller, broken leaf. When crushed to make bagged teas, the tea is referred to as “Broken” (B).
